HDR Fotografie + English: Chain Bridge, Budapest ( Taken on May 16, 2009 )

  • The Chain Bridge in Budapest was definitely my favorite photo landmark. The structure is very interesting as it is made of chain links with bars hanging to hold the bridge. The bolts are very large, and the whole thing is good looking.
  • Shot:
    • 3 shots at f20 with speed 1/30, 1/25, 1/8.
    • lens 10-22mm at 17mm.
    • A bit tricky to shoot because the passing cars make the bridge vibrate.
  • Processing:
    • Blended in Photomatix twice, once tuned to the bridge and once tuned to the sky.
    • Blended the two Photomatix images in Photoshop.
    • Noise reduction with Imagenomics.
    • Unsharp mask radius 140.
    • High pass filter sharpening.
    • Curves for contrast using a luminosity mask.
    • Layer with Soft LIght blending mode at 10% for contrast.
    • Used Nik Viveza to lower brightness in the blue sky and the walkway.
