Thanks to my contacts riglasse and hanakdavid for identifying this church and providing the following description. According to the corresponding Wikipedia entry (only available in Hungarian), it suffered severe damage in the second world war, and instead of renovation, it was demolished in the early 50s (one of the darkest periods of the Hungarian communist era) by the order of Rákosi, the premier of the Hungarian Workers Party.
Another interesting fact is that apparently, it was the only Christian place of worship kept in service during the Turkish occupation after 1541, before being converted into a djami (as the other churches) in 1596.

- Slightly underexposed to avoid blowing out the clouds.
Photomatix:
- Details enhancer on single raw image.
Photoshop:
- Distort filter to straighten out the church. Lost a lot of nice sky and cobblestones in the foreground, but it just looked too distorted.
- Imagenomic noise reduction.
- Unsharp mask radius 140.
- Curves.
- High pass filter sharpenning on the building.
