- This week would have marked the 84th birthday of Andy Warhol. In honor of the occasion, I decided to revisit my mosaic "Warhol on his own terms." That mosaic, depicts the same portrait of Andy, and it s entirely constructed out of small "cut-outs" from a handful of his most famous works.
- Since I created the first version, I've been learning a lot of new mosaic techniques, some more abstract, some more photo realistic. For his birthday, I thought Andy deserved a mosaic more true to his portrait. The differences are subtle unless you see the mosaics right next to each other.
- (Which, by the way, you can see in my photostream - the very last picture I posted was the first version of this mosaic!)
- I hope you enjoy it. I'm sorry I've been away so long, but I am happy to be back! I have lots of fun things to show you !
